Job summary

Ernest-Gordon-Recruitment-Limited is seeking a CNC Operator in Stroud, England to work on Mazak machines, programming, setting and operating to tight drawings and specifications.

You will read drawings, set tooling and parameters, and ensure parts meet quality standards with attention to right-first-time production. Overtime is uncapped and paid at time and a half.

Salary: GBP21 - GBP24 per hour + + Uncapped Overtime at Time and a Half

Are you a CNC Programmer, CNC Setter Operator, CNC Machinist, or similar preferably with Mazak experience, looking to join an established precision engineering business offering a Monday to Friday role, uncapped overtime, and long-term stability?

On offer is the opportunity to join a specialist engineering business where you will work on a range of Mazak CNC machines, producing high-quality components to technical drawings and specifications. You will be working in a hands-on role where accuracy, quality, and right-first-time production are key.

In this varied role, you will programme, set, and operate Mazak machines including J600, 1800T, and VNC510 machinery. You will read and interpret engineering drawings, set tooling and machine parameters, produce precision components, carry out first article inspections, and ensure parts are manufactured to the required quality standards.

This role would suit a CNC Programmer or Mazak Setter Operator with experience programming, setting, and operating Mazak machines who is looking for a days-based role with uncapped overtime paid at time and a half.

The Role:

• Programming, setting, and operating Mazak CNC machines
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and producing precision components
• Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm, with uncapped overtime paid at time and a half

The Person:

• CNC Programmer, CNC Setter Operator, CNC Machinist, or similar
• Experience with Mazak machines, setting, operating, and programming
• Commutable to Stonehouse or Stroud
