tk accelis Supply Chain Solutions UK. in Preston is seeking a hands-on CNC Operative to operate and program CNC machinery, selecting materials, processing them, and ensuring quality. You will handle stock, assist with loading/unloading, and maintain safety and traceability across production and warehouse tasks.

The role requires focus, reliability, and teamwork in a rotating shift pattern. This is a full-time position with competitive benefits and opportunities for development.

Responsibilities

Description

We are looking for a motivated CNC Operative to join our team at. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for operating and programming CNC machinery to produce customer orders accurately and efficiently. You'll select materials from stock locations, process them through our machinery, and ensure finished products meet quality standards.
As part of the wider operations team, you may also assist with loading and unloading vehicles, moving materials around the facility, and accurately scanning and storing stock in designated rack locations. Throughout all activities, you'll work in line with our health, safety, and quality procedures to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
This role offers variety, combining machine operation, material handling, and warehouse activities as part of a busy and supportive team.

Shift Pattern - Rotating shift pattern

Week 1:
Monday - Thursday 6:00am-2.15pm
Friday- 6:00am-12.45pm

Week 2:
Monday - Thursday 2:00pm-12:00am

Key Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating CNC machines.
• Accurately cutting materials in line with customer requirements and job specifications.
• Preparing customer orders accurately and ready for dispatch.
• Maintaining full traceability of materials throughout the warehouse and production process.
• Checking incoming and outgoing deliveries for accuracy, quality and quantity.
• Operating forklift trucks, where trained and authorised, to retrieve and move materials.
• Accurately completing job sheets and recording relevant production and material information.
• Using appropriate measuring equipment to check dimensions and ensure work meets required specifications.
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment.
