Job summary

Tkacceliscareers in Preston is seeking a motivated CNC Operator to join our Operations team. You will operate and program CNC machinery to accurately produce customer orders, selecting materials from stock and ensuring finished products meet quality standards.

In this busy role you will also assist with loading/unloading, moving materials, and stock scanning. You will work to health, safety and quality procedures in a rotating shift pattern as part of a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience with CNC machining, including basic programming and setup.
• Strong organisational skills and reliability.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and operate forklift if trained.
• Self-motivated, flexible and able to work in a team.
• Proficient with scanning systems and stock control.

Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating CNC machines.
• Accurately cutting materials in line with customer requirements and job specs.
• Preparing customer orders accurately and ready for dispatch.
• Maintaining full traceability of materials throughout warehouse and production.
• Checking incoming/outgoing deliveries for accuracy, quality and quantity.
• Operating forklift trucks, where trained and authorised.
• Completing job sheets and recording production/material information.
• Using measuring equipment to check dimensions and ensure specs.
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment.

Description

Your responsibilities

We are looking for a motivated CNC Operative to join our team at. In this hands‑on role, you will be responsible for operating and programming CNC machinery to produce customer orders accurately and efficiently. You'll select materials from stock locations, process them through our machinery, and ensure finished products meet quality standards.

As part of the wider operations team, you may also assist with loading and unloading vehicles, moving materials around the facility, and accurately scanning and storing stock in designated rack locations. Throughout all activities, you'll work in line with our health, safety, and quality procedures to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

This role offers variety, combining machine operation, material handling, and warehouse activities as part of a busy and supportive team.

Shift Pattern - Rotating shift pattern

Week 1:
Monday - Thursday 6:00am-2.15pm
Friday- 6:00am-12.45pm

Week 2:
Monday - Thursday 2:00pm-12:00am

Key Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating CNC machines.
• Accurately cutting materials in line with customer requirements and job specifications.
• Preparing customer orders accurately and ready for dispatch.
• Maintaining full traceability of materials throughout the warehouse and production process.
• Checking incoming and outgoing deliveries for accuracy, quality and quantity.
• Operating forklift trucks, where trained and authorised, to retrieve and move materials.
• Accurately completing job sheets and recording relevant production and material information.
• Using appropriate measuring equipment to check dimensions and ensure work meets required specifications.
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment.
