About us – We are a small but highly efficient and technical CNC machine shop specializing in 5-axis machining for high-end clients such as Formula 1 and the Automotive industry. Due to expansion last year, we are seeking a candidate to support our growing milling section.

What we're looking for – We want to hire a CNC Operator to join our team. The role involves working alongside production engineering to produce high-quality metallic components on our 5-axis milling machines.

Key Responsibilities –

• Set and operate Hurco and Heidenhain CNC milling machines
• Inspect components as they come off the machine
• Collaborate with production engineering on offline programming
• Manage workflow to optimize spindle time
• Prepare tooling and materials
• Finish parts, including tapping, deburring, and packing
• Maintain and perform basic servicing on machines when required
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements –

• Experience setting and operating CNC machines
• Machinery experience
• Hurco Winmax control (preferred but not essential)
• Heidenhain control (preferred but not essential)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Basic inspection and GD&T skills
• Proficiency in component finishing
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Follow all H&S regulations
• Hardworking, able to work in a team or individually
• Good workload management and timekeeping
• Ability to operate multiple machine centers
• Engineering qualification (preferred but not essential)
• Full UK driving license

Pay: Offering competitive rates, starting from £35,000 per annum depending on experience, plus overtime and benefits.
