Job summary

Fusion People Ltd in Dungannon is seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join a well-established precision engineering company. The role involves setting up and operating CNC milling machines, reading engineering drawings, and performing in-process quality checks in a modern manufacturing environment.

You will work Monday to Thursday 07:30–16:30 and Friday 07:30–13:30, with regular overtime and top-rate pay depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience as CNC Operator or in a comparable manufacturing role.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision.
• Desirable: 3+ years CNC experience.
• Desirable: experience with Fanuc i-Series controls.
• Desirable: experience in a precision engineering environment.
• Desirable: ability to edit CNC programs and machining offsets.
• Desirable: understanding of tolerances and machining principles.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Set up and operate CNC milling machinery to manufacture components to precise tolerances.
• Carry out in-process inspections and quality checks per procedures.
• Monitor machine performance and report issues to the Team Leader.
• Conduct daily machine checks and basic maintenance for optimum performance.
• Work flexibly to support production requirements and business needs.

Job Title: CNC Operator

Location: Dungannon, County Tyrone

Duration: Permanent

Pay Rate: Circa £15-£16 per hour

We are currently recruiting for CNC Operators to join a well-established and growing precision engineering company based in Dungannon. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced machine operator looking to work with high-specification equipment in a modern manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and accurately interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Set up and operate CNC milling machinery to manufacture components to precise tolerances.
• Carry out in-process inspections and quality checks in accordance with company quality procedures.
• Monitor machine performance and report any issues to the Team Leader.
• Conduct daily machine checks and basic maintenance to ensure optimum performance.
• Work flexibly to support production requirements and business needs.

Essential Criteria

• Previous experience in a CNC Operator or similar manufacturing role.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Desirable Criteria

• 3+ years' experience operating CNC machinery.
• Experience working with Fanuc i-Series controls.
• Previous experience within a precision engineering environment.
• Experience working to strict quality standards and inspection procedures.
• Ability to edit CNC milling programs and make machining offsets.
• Understanding of engineering tolerances and machining principles.

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday - 07:30 to 16:30

Friday - 07:30 to 13:30
