Job summary

Accrofab Ltd in the UK is seeking a CNC Milling Setter/Operator to join our Manufacturing Department. You will set up and operate Heidenhain CNC milling machines, read engineering drawings and follow Job Cards to hit targeted outputs on the early shift.

The role requires experience in aerospace standards, apprentice training or relevant qualifications, and the ability to work precisely in a high‑precision, low‑volume environment while maintaining quality.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working to Aerospace standards.
• Experienced in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• An understanding and alignment to our Accrofab values; Respect, Integrity, Safety and Excellence.
• Preferably 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Ideally apprentice trained with relevant qualifications.
• Experience of setting and operating Heidenhain CNC milling machines within a high precision low volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Use and control of CNC programs in accordance with relevant procedures.
• Ability to read and understand CNC code to the level required for machine set up and operation.
• Understand all set up parameters and the effect that they have on the process, for example, datum setting and tool length and wear offsets.
• Set up machines with the required work holding and tooling in accordance with relevant procedures.
• Editing programmes.
• Complete machining operations efficiently in accordance with Job Card instructions to achieve the required output levels.
