Job summary

Bromford Industries Limited is recruiting for a CNC Milling Setter/Operator in our Manufacturing Department. We are looking for candidates with relevant, proven experience who want to develop their skills within a growing organisation.

You will set up and operate Heidenhain CNC milling machines, read and interpret engineering drawings, adjust datum, tool length and wear offsets, and edit programmes to achieve required output.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working to Aerospace standards.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Apprentice trained with relevant qualifications.
• Experience setting and operating Heidenhain CNC milling machines in a high precision, low volume environment.
• Typically 3 years' experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Use and control of CNC programs in accordance with relevant procedures.
• Ability to read and understand CNC code to the level required for machine set up and operation.
• Understand all set up parameters and the effect that they have on the process, for example, datum setting and tool length and wear offsets.
• Set up machines with the required work holding and tooling in accordance with relevant procedures.
• Editing programmes.
• Complete machining operations efficiently in accordance with Job Card instructions to achieve the required output levels.
