Job summary

ABS Talent Ltd in Leeds seeks a skilled CNC Miller to Program/Set/Operate 3- and 4-axis Fanuc/Heidenhain milling machines. You will work from engineering drawings, set up first-off parts, and maintain tight tolerances on precision components for safety-critical sectors.

In this permanent role, enjoy a 4-day week, Monday to Thursday, 6am-4pm, with long-term stability at a market-leading manufacturer. Commutable from Leeds, Wakefield, Bradford and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Proven CNC milling experience - setting and operating.
• Programming capability preferred (more versatile), though strong setter/operators will be considered.
• Fanuc and/or Heidenhain controls experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and hold tight tolerances.
• A background in precision or subcontract manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines - 3-axis XYZ and 4-axis Fanuc / Heidenhain controls.
• Machining precision components to tight tolerances, right first time.
• Working from engineering drawings, first-off and in-process inspection.
• Tooling, offsets and maintaining quality throughout the run.
