Job summary

Optima UK is seeking a skilled CNC Milling Operator for an evening shift in Loughborough. The role starts with training on days for 6–12 weeks before moving to the evening shift, producing high-precision components with strict quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC Milling machines.
• Experience using Fanuc and/or Heidenhain controls.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Competent with micrometers, verniers and gauges.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Desirable: CNC setting experience.
• Basic knowledge of CNC programming.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Milling machines (Fanuc/Heidenhain).
• Read/interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Manufacture components to tight tolerances.
• Perform in-process and final inspections with gauges.
• Ensure quality requirements are met and maintain safety.
