Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment is seeking a CNC Milling Operator or Machinist for a short-term contract running through to December. You will operate 3-axis CNC milling machines on plastic components, reading drawings and making basic programme edits.

The role offers daytime hours, with a typical 8:00am-5:00pm schedule Mon-Thu and 8:00am-12:00pm on Fridays. Commutable from Newport and surrounding areas, four-month contract with possible extension.

Qualifications

• CNC milling or CNC machining experience.
• Able to read engineering drawings.
• Able to carry out basic CNC programme edits and adjustments.
• Confident using measuring and inspection equipment.
• Experience machining plastics or metals.

CNC Milling Operator

Commutable from: Newport, Pontypool, Caerphilly, Cardiff, Blackwood, Risca, Abergavenny, Chepstow, Ebbw Vale, Monmouth and surrounding areas

£20.00 - £25.00 per hour DOE (Umbrella/InsideIR35)

4 months (Potential to extend or go permanent depending on workload)

Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 5:00pm, Friday 8:00am - 12:00pm

Are you a CNC Milling Operator or Machinist looking for a short-term contract with excellent rates and consistent daytime hours?

This is a great opportunity to join an established engineering manufacturer working on an important project running through to the end of the year.

The role will involve operating 3-axis CNC milling machines producing small-batch plastic components. You will be working from engineering drawings, monitoring machining operations, carrying out basic programme edits and adjustments, and checking completed components using standard measuring equipment.

This position does not require a full CNC Setter/Programmer. However, you should be comfortable working independently around CNC machinery and making basic adjustments where required.

The Role:

The Person:

• Confident using measuring and inspection equipment
• Experience machining plastics or metals both considered
