We are now looking for a
CNC Milling Machinist - Late Shift
to join our team working for a better future.
The preferred location for the position is in Havant, UK.

What You Will Be Doing

You will work during the following shift pattern:

  • Mon 14:30 to 22:30 ½ hour lunch
  • Tues 14:30 to 22:30 ½ hour lunch
  • Wed 14:30 to 22:30 ½ hour lunch
  • Thurs 14:30 to 22:30 ½ hour lunch
  • Fri 12:30 to 20:00
Responsibilities
  • Clear communications and hands on approach with a strong work ethic
  • Drive improvements as part of continuous improvement culture
  • Work safely in line with the company's Health and Safety policy
  • Maintain a clean and organized working area as part of 5S implementation
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained and follow processes correctly
  • Complete tasks within set process times to meet deadlines
  • Be flexible and willing to move onto other disciplines within your skill set
  • Assist with skills flex training and cross-training of others when required
Qualifications and Experience
  • Ideally apprentice served
  • Proficiency in Heidenhain Programming
  • Familiarity with Turning and Milling techniques
  • Experience with handling composite materials is an advantage
  • Understanding of Health & Safety procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Good communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Education: GCSE/O Level or equivalent, apprentice served
  • Minimum 5 years engineering experience in manufacturing
  • Minimum 5 years CNC programming experience (Heidenhain)
  • Knowledge of modern tool cutting techniques
  • Experience working with castings and metals such as Inconel, Aluminium bronze, Cast Iron, Duplex, stainless steel
  • Lean manufacturing experience (7 wastes, Safety, 5S)
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
