Job summary

RSC Precision Engineering in Brentwood, Essex, is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist (Miller) to join our aerospace and defence team, working to EN9100 standards.

You will set and operate Mazak CNC horizontal and vertical mills, interpret engineering drawings, and produce high‑quality components to tight tolerances. Overtime is available and pension benefits are provided.

Day shift, 39 hours per week, with 20–24 days of holiday plus bank holidays and free onsite parking.

Qualifications

• Fully skilled/experienced/time served CNC setter/operator.
• Experience on horizontal and/or vertical milling machines.
• Programming experience would be an advantage but not essential.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Able to use micrometers/calipers/gauges.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate Mazak CNC milling machines.
• Produce accurate, high quality components with maximum efficiency.
• Competently set and operate Mazak CNC horizontal and vertical machining centres.
• Work to tight tolerances and check your own work meets the required standards.
• To work on your own initiative and understand all aspects of the manufacturing processes.
• Quality check your finished components.
• Clean and maintain CNC machine and all associated equipment and machine area.
• Working to EN9100 standards.

We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist (Miller) to join our team working to EN9100 standards in the aerospace and defence sectors.

Job Details

• Location: Brentwood Essex
• Salary: £17 - £22 per hour (depending on experience)
• Full time / Permanent
• Day shift: 39 hours per week
• Monday to Thursday 8am – 4.30pm / Friday 8am -3.30pm
