Job summary

Optima UK Inc Ltd is seeking an experienced CNC Miller Setter in Nottinghamshire to join a precision engineering team. You will own your machine, set up 3- to 5-axis milling operations, and produce components to tight tolerances.

The role is permanent with regular hours and opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement in a high-integrity environment. Experience in nuclear, defence, aerospace, or oil and gas sectors is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Strong CNC setting experience and ability to set and operate CNC milling machines.
• Experience with 3-, 4- and 5-axis machining processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• Good understanding of precision machining and tight tolerances.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
• A positive and supportive approach to teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating CNC milling machines.
• Working with 3, 4 and 5-axis machining processes.
• Producing precision components to tight tolerances.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Checking components against required quality standards.
• Taking ownership of machine performance and completed work.
• Supporting colleagues across the production department.
• Contributing to continuous improvement activities.
