Job summary

McGeoch Technology Ltd is seeking a skilled CNC Miller Setter to support our established team at our Birmingham production facility. The role focuses on setting and operating 1, 2 or 3 Axis CNC milling machines, primarily handling stainless steels and nonferrous metals.

You will read drawings with GD&T symbols, program in Mazatrol/Fanuc and adapt ISO programmes, ensuring parts meet drawing tolerances and quality standards. The position offers a hands-on environment with TPM/PPM duties.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of CNC milling and manufacturing processes.
• Experience as a setter-operator utilising 3 Axis CNC milling machines.
• Extensive experience in setting and running CNC machines.
• Ability to read drawings including GD&T symbols.
• A flexible and 'can do' attitude.

As part of a larger strategy to increase our productivity across the business, we are looking to add a skilled and flexible machinist to our team, who's role will be to support the incumbent CNC team with all aspects of their daily tasks as required. Responsible for setting & operating 1, 2 or 3 Axis CNC milling machines at a time, predominately working with Stainless Steels and nonferrous metals.

Location & Hours

McGeoch Technology Ltd. is a well-established and expanding manufacturing company based in Birmingham and due to our current growth, we are now looking to recruit for the position of a CNC Miller Setter. The successful applicant will be based at our production facility in Birmingham city centre.

• 37 hours per week
• Monday to Thursday 07.30-16.00
• Friday 07.30-12.30
• Some flexibility is to be expected
