Job summary

A Nottingham-based precision manufacturing business is seeking an experienced CNC Miller Programmer to join their team on a permanent basis. This hands-on role involves programming, setting up machines, and delivering precision components to exacting standards.

You will read engineering drawings, create and edit CNC programmes, select tooling, and carry out precision inspections. The role offers a £30,000–£35,000 salary, 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with 08:00–16:00 shifts and occasional

Qualifications

• At least one year of CNC Miller experience with reading drawings.
• At least one year CNC milling programming experience.
• Experience selecting tooling, fixtures, workholding, and offsets.
• Experience with precision inspection using verniers, micrometers, bore gauges and height gauges.
• Commitment to health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Programme, set, and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision components from engineering drawings.
• Create, edit, and optimise CNC programmes.
• Select tooling, fixtures, workholding, and tool offsets.
• Carry out precision inspection using verniers, micrometers, bore gauges, and height gauges.
• Identify opportunities for Lean Manufacturing and process improvement.
• Maintain high standards of quality, health and safety, and housekeeping.
