Castle Employment Group are recruiting for 4 experienced CNC Milling Operators to join a well-established precision engineering business in Kirkbymoorside, North Yorkshire. You will operate CNC milling centres to manufacture high-quality components, with weekend nights (Fri-Sun, 6pm-6am) and 34.5 hours per week.

Initial training on days then move to weekend nights. The role offers a strong earning potential up to £43,989 including night shift allowance, 4 days off every week, pension, sickness

CNC Milling Operators - Weekend Night Shift Location: Kirkbymoorside, North Yorkshire

Salary: Up to £43,989 per annum including night shift allowance

Hours: Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 6pm - 6am

Contract: Permanent, 34.5 hours per week

Work just 3 nights a week and enjoy 4 days off!

Working Hours

• Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights
• 6:00pm - 6:00am
• 34.5 paid hours per week
• 2 x 15-minute paid breaks
• 1 x 30-minute unpaid break
• Initial training completed on day shifts before moving onto the weekend night shift

The Role As a CNC Milling Operator, you will be responsible for operating CNC machining centres to manufacture high-quality precision components.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating CNC milling machines to produce precision-engineered components.
• Preparing materials, tooling, fixtures and programmes for production.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions.
• Monitoring machines to maintain production efficiency and quality.
• Carrying out routine checks and identifying potential machining issues.
• Completing production documentation accurately.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and housekeeping.

What We're Looking For

Previous CNC milling experience is essential for this position.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience operating CNC milling machines within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Good knowledge of machining processes, tooling and quality requirements.
• Experience working to tight tolerances and production deadlines.
• A reliable, practical approach with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently during weekend night shifts.

Desirable experience includes:

• Multi-axis CNC machining.
• Basic CNC programme or tool table editing.
• Renishaw probing systems.
• First-off inspection.
• Aerospace or precision engineering manufacturing.
