Job summary

Barnsley Recruitment Services LTD is recruiting a CNC Miller for night shift in Ecclesfield (Sheffield) S35. You'll set and operate milling machines, read engineering drawings and ensure parts meet tight tolerances.

The role offers a starting rate of £23.70 per hour based on experience, with a night shift Monday to Thursday 16:30 to 02:30. Experience with Fanuc, Heidenhain or Siemens controls is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC milling experience.
• Experience setting and operating CNC machining centres.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong inspection and measurement skills.
• Experience with Fanuc/Heidenhain/Siemens controls advantageous.
• Night shift availability required.

We are currently looking to recruit a CNC Miller (NIGHTSHIFT) for our client based in Ecclesfield (Sheffield) S35.

Working Hours

Monday-Thursday (16:30pm - 02:30am)

Pay Rate

£23.70 starting rate, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting and operating CNC milling machines with Heidenhain conrols.
• Editing and proving out CNC programs when required.
• Working from detailed engineering drawings.
• Selecting tooling and setting machine offsets.
• Producing high-quality components to tight tolerances.
• Conducting first-off and in-process inspections.
• Using micrometers, verniers and other measuring equipment.
• Working efficiently to meet production schedules.

Requirements

• Previous CNC milling experience.
• Experience setting and operating CNC machining centres.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong inspection and measurement skills.
• Experience with Fanuc, Heidenhain or Siemens controls advantageous.
• Ability to work independently on a permanent night shift.
