Job summary

Manpower UK in Yeovil is seeking a CNC Miller (Skilled/Indentured Skilled) to join a safety-critical aerospace components team. You will program and machine on 3-axis milling centres, follow Manufacturing Instructions, interpret drawings, and perform OCQ checks to meet Honeywell and customer standards.

This on-site role offers 37 hours per week with alternating day and night shifts and a focus on lean, continuous improvement, safety, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of CNC Milling and related machining; Heidenhain knowledge is preferred but not essential.
• Strong safety mindset and adherence to Health & Safety standards.
• Teamwork, flexibility and initiative with attention to detail.

CNC Miller (Skilled/Indentured Skilled)

Location: Yeovil
Hours: 37 Hours Per Week, alternating weekly shifts - Days 07:00-15:30 / Lates 15:30-00:00
Pay: £16.13-£22.26 (depending on shift/allowance)

What you'll be doing:

• CNC programming and machining on 3-axis milling centres (setting & running)
• Working to Manufacturing Instructions, Specifications and Customer/Regulator requirements
• Interpreting engineering drawings and following the process layout and documentation procedures
• Carrying out OCQ (Operator Control of Quality) checks, including stamping to confirm assemblies meet Honeywell and Customer standards
• Ensuring work is completed on time and to the required quality
• Working effectively in a lean environment, collaborating within a team and reporting to the Team Lead
• Using hand measuring equipment such as Vernier, micrometers, thread gauges, and plug gauges

What you'll bring:

• Knowledge of CNC Milling and/or related machining experience (Heidenhain knowledge is preferred but not essential)
• A strong safety mindset and the ability to adhere to Health & Safety standards at all times
• Teamwork, flexibility, and the confidence to use initiative
• An eye for detail and a commitment to continuous improvement
• PC literate, with the ability to learn company operating systems as required
• An understanding of the significance of safety-critical work in the aerospace sector

Additional information:

• Skilled/Indentured Skilled workers required for on-site work at Honeywell Aerospace, Yeovil
• Training will be provided where required (e.g., Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels, 5S, HOS Principles and general Health & Safety)
