Job summary

Elix Sourcing Solutions is seeking a skilled CNC Miller for a full-time permanent role in Chard, Somerset. You will program, set and operate CNC milling machines using Fanuc, Heidenhain and Mazatrol controls, producing precision components to tight tolerances.

Working on 3-, 4- and 5-axis machines you will select tooling, optimise machining processes and troubleshoot any issues. The package includes £16–£19 per hour, with overtime, ongoing training and private health and dental care.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as CNC Miller / Programmer / Setter
• Strong CNC milling and programming experience
• Experience with Fanuc, Heidenhain or Mazatrol controls
• Experience setting and operating CNC milling machines
• Experience with 3-, 4- or 5-axis machining advantageous
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Are you an experienced CNC Miller looking for a varied role within a precision engineering environment?

Our client is looking for a CNC Miller / Programmer / Setter to join their manufacturing team, producing high-quality precision components using modern CNC milling machinery.

You'll be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines, working with Fanuc, Heidenhain and/or Mazatrol control systems, producing components to tight tolerances and ensuring consistently high standards of quality and accuracy.

The Role

• Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines
• Programming using Fanuc, Heidenhain and/or Mazatrol control systems
• Working across 3, 4 and 5-axis machining centres
• Producing precision-engineered components to tight tolerances
• Selecting appropriate tooling and optimising machining processes
• Troubleshooting programming, machining and equipment issues

The Candidate

• Proven experience as a CNC Miller / Programmer / Setter
• Strong CNC milling and programming experience
• Experience with one or more of Fanuc, Heidenhain or Mazatrol control systems
• Experience setting and operating CNC milling machines
• Experience with 3, 4 or 5-axis machining would be advantageous
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
