Job summary

MTrec Recruitment is seeking a skilled CNC Miller for a role involving set, program, and operate duties on large-scale milling machines. The position includes working a 2-week shift pattern with 4 x 10-hour days and nights, and travel within a structured manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will be time-served in a machine shop, experienced with milling machines and Fanuc controls, able to read drawings and set up one-off jobs.

Qualifications

• Time-served machinist with a Machine Shop apprenticeship.
• Experience milling machines or horizontal borers is essential.
• Proficiency with Fanuc controls and programming.
• Able to set and run one-off jobs and read engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set, program, and operate milling machines.
• Work with Ward Hyundai Wia and Hartford machines.
• Interpret drawings and check dimensions with manual equipment.
• Ensure quality and precision on customer components.

Our client are specialists in their industry, they are looking for a skilled CNC Miller who can program, set and operate.

This will be working a 2-week shift pattern, working compressed hours.

4 x 10-hour day shifts

Mon-Thurs

4 x 10-hour night shifts

Mon-Wed

The Job you'll do

• Set, program, and operate.
• Ward Hyundai Wia KBN135-CL, 2m x 1.8m table.
• Travel 4m x 2m x 2m, 15 tonne table capacity.
• Fanuc CNC Control, 90 angled, orthogonal, and facing heads, B-axis table (0.001 ), ATC.
• Hartford PBM135C boring and milling machine.
• 3000mm x 2000mm x 2000mm, 15 tonnes table loading.
• FANUC 31iMB CNC control system.
