Job summary

Shillito Group is recruiting for a CNC Miller in Rotherham on a permanent days basis. The role includes programming, setting and operating Fanuc controlled milling machines with 3, 4 and 5 axis capability.

You will be producing complex components to tight tolerances, selecting tooling and Fixturing, and continually improving cycle times. The position offers an early finish every Friday and a pay rate up to £19 per hour.

Qualifications

• Strong CNC milling experience

• Experience with 3, 4 and 5 axis machinery
• Experience in precision engineering or tightly controlled environments

Shillito Group are recruiting for a well established precision engineering business in Rotherham.

They are looking for an experienced CNC Miller who can programme, set and operate Fanuc controlled machinery.

Fanuc experience is needed, as well as experience using multi axis machinery.

You will be responsible for programming, setting and proving out jobs, selecting the right tooling and working from detailed engineering drawings.

The role will involve:

• Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines
• Editing and optimising Fanuc programmes
• Working across 3, 4 and 5 axis machinery
• Selecting tooling, workholding, feeds and speeds
• Producing complex components to tight tolerances
• Carrying out first-off checks and making adjustments
• Improving cycle times and machining processes

You will need:

• Strong CNC milling experience
• The ability to programme Fanuc controls
• Confidence setting and proving out your own work
• The ability to read detailed engineering drawings
• A good understanding of tooling, fixturing, feeds and speeds
• Experience within precision engineering or another tightly controlled manufacturing environment

This is a permanent days role paying up to £19 per hour, with an early finish every Friday.
