Job summary

Proslipsi Consulting is seeking a CNC Miller to join a specialist high precision components and machinery manufacturer in Rochdale. The role offers a rotating day pattern and overtime with a strong pension and health benefits.

You will set and edit Fanuc programmes, read drawings, and inspect your own work. Training and progression are provided, with a collaborative team culture and onsite parking.

Qualifications

• Experience reading engineering drawings and working to tight tolerances.
• Operates and sets machines for various components.
• Confident in inspecting own work using basic measurement tools.
• Experience with Fanuc controls is advantageous.
• Overtime availability and flexibility expected.

Responsibilities

• Set and edit programmes using Fanuc controls.
• Experience in programming is advantageous.
• Knowledge of manual machining is desirable.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Inspect own work with conventional measurement techniques.

The Job

• Set and Edit programmes using Fanuc controls
• Experience of programming would be a distinct advantage
• Knowledge of manual machining would be desirable
• Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Inspection of own work using conventional measurement techniques
• Confident to install cutting tools, attachments and fixtures
• Training and progression offered

About you

• Experience of working with precision parts working to tight tolerances
• Experience of operating and setting to machine various components
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Confidence and the ability to work in a precision engineering environment and the ability to work on bespoke and one-off items
• Experience of Vertical or Horziontal milling would be a distinct advantage
• Flexible to work rotating day shifts
• Willing to work overtime as and when required
