Job summary

Hunter Selection is recruiting an experienced CNC Miller in Knutsford. The role involves operating CNC mills, loading programmes and ensuring components meet exact specifications. You will work on Hurco, Mori or similar VMC machines and be responsible for deburring, engraving and maintaining tooling and machines.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC mills and lathes in a workshop.
• Able to load programmes onto machines.
• Experience with Hurco, Mori or similar VMC machines.

Responsibilities

• Prioritise and process works orders from the Cutting Room as directed by the Team Leader.
• Ensure materials are correct and cut to size; report inaccuracies.
• Load programmes to manufacture components to specification.
• Operate Hurco/Mori/VMC machines to produce components per drawings.
• Check finished components against specifications, deburr and engrave as required.
• Store new programmes for future access and pass completed components to the correct area.
• Manufacture jigs and fixtures to aid machining and ensure oil levels are checked.
• Respond promptly to machine alarms and keep the machine and conveyor area clean at end of shift.
• Re-set tools as required.

Double Days - Week 1: 6am - 2pm, Week 2: 2pm - 11pm

My client, a market leader within their sector is looking for an experienced CNC Miller to join the team. The business operates in a secure market, with a strong customer base, manufacturing and supplying cutting-edge technology globally.

Role Description

• Prioritise, in accordance with Team Leader's instructions and work in progress requirements, works orders received from the Cutting Room
• Ensure material received is appropriate and cut to size. Refer any inaccuracies to the Team Leader
• Load programmes to manufacture components to meet required specifications
• Operate Hurco/ Mori/ VMC 1-5/manual machines as required to produce components in accordance with the specification/drawing.
• Ensure that the completed component is checked against the specification, is de-burred and engraved
• Store any new programmes correctly for future access
• Pass completed component to correct area
• Manufacture jigs and fixtures to aid the machining of components
• Ensure that machine oil levels are periodically checked
• Respond appropriately and quickly to machine alarms for maintenance purposes
• Ensure that the machine and conveyor are left clean at the end of every shift
• Re-set tools as required
