Job summary

MTrec Technical is recruiting a skilled CNC Miller for a 2-week shift pattern, including 4x10-hour days and 4x10-hour nights. The role uses Fanuc controls and large-capacity machines, with emphasis on quality and consistency.

The ideal candidate is time-served with milling or horizontal boring experience, able to read drawings, set one-off jobs and program efficiently while maintaining tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• Time-served through a machine shop apprenticeship.
• Experience with milling machines or horizontal borers.
• Knowledge of FANUC controls.
• Able to read engineering drawings and set up one-off jobs.
• Strong measurement skills with manual equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set, program and operate CNC machines.
• Work with Fanuc controlled machinery to produce parts to drawing specs.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and perform precise measurements.

Our client are specialists in their industry, they are looking for a skilled CNC Miller who can program, set and operate.

This will be working a 2-week shift pattern, working compressed hours.
4 x 10-hour day shifts
Mon-Thurs 07.00-17.30
4 x 10-hour night shifts
Mon-Wed 19.00-05.00
Thurs 17.30-03.30

The Job you'll do

Set, program, and operate.

Ward Hyundai Wia KBN135-CL, 2m x 1.8m table.
Travel 4m x 2m x 2m, 15 tonne table capacity.
Fanuc CNC Control, 90° angled, orthogonal, and facing heads, B-axis table (0.001°), ATC.
Hartford PBM135C boring and milling machine.
3000mm x 2000mm x 2000mm, 15 tonnes table loading.
FANUC 31iMB CNC control system.
