Job summary

Vibe Recruit is seeking a skilled multi-axis CNC machinist for a rapidly expanding precision engineering company in South Oxfordshire. You will set and operate 3, 4 and 5 axis milling machines, working to tight tolerances and ISO 9001:2015 standards.

The customer base is broad and well established, including Nuclear, Space Technologies, Medical, F1 and many other demanding industries.

Qualifications

• Setting and operating 3, 4 & 5 axis milling machines.
• Tight tolerances to ISO 9001:2015.
• CMM experience is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 3–5 axis milling machines.
• Maintain tight tolerances and quality standards.
• Overtime and weekend work paid at a premium rate.

Job Requirements

• A wide range of candidates will be considered, ranging from Setters and Operators through to experienced CNC Machinists and Programmers.
• Good communication skills are key and the willingness to learn and develop.
• CNC programming (EDGECAM/FANUC
• Quality inspection experience (including CMM) is a strong plus.)
• An engineering apprenticeship or NVQ/City & Guilds are desirable but not essential.
• Experience with working with a variety of materials, working to tight tolerances, along with the ability to use your own initiative, is also important

General

• Standard 37-hour week - early finish on Fridays
• Overtime and weekend work is available and paid at a premium rate.
