Job summary

AMF Recruitment Ltd is seeking a CNC Miller for a permanent role in Bradford. The position involves programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines to produce precision components to tight tolerances.

You will work with brands such as HAAS, DMG, Doosan, Mazak, Fanuc, Siemens and Heidenhain. You will read engineering drawings, samples and sketches, perform first-off and final inspections, and complete production paperwork while supporting lean manufacturing and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Ability to read engineering drawings, samples and sketches to produce parts.
• Experience or training in maintaining quality standards and tolerances.
• Familiar with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proactive in supporting production improvements and housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Program, set, operate and optimise CNC milling machines to produce precision components.
• Work with multiple machines and controls to meet tight tolerances.
• Produce components from drawings and sketches, perform first-off, stage and final inspections.
• Complete production and inspection paperwork accurately.
• Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with planning and production teams to improve methods.
• Maintain machinery and ensure high housekeeping standards.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.

DAYS 7am to 3pm

Key Duties

• The successful CNC Miller will be responsible for programming, setting, operating and optimising CNC milling machines to produce precision-engineered components to tight tolerances.
• Working within a busy manufacturing environment, you will play an important role in ensuring production targets, quality standards and continuous improvement objectives are achieved.
• You will work with a range of machinery and controls including:
• HAAS
• DMG
• Doosan
• Mazak
• Fanuc
• Siemens
• Heidenhain
• Producing components to tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
• Working from engineering drawings, samples and sketches.
• Carrying out first-off, stage and final inspections.
• Completing relevant production and inspection paperwork.
• Supporting lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Working closely with planning and production teams to improve manufacturing methods.
• Maintaining machinery and ensuring excellent housekeeping standards.
• Following all health and safety procedures at all times.

At first the working hours are 7am to 3pm Monday to Friday, but may go to a rotating shift.

For this you will have a salary of up to £33k and a raft other benefits.
