Job summary

Prime Appointments Ltd in Basildon is recruiting two experienced CNC Millers to operate 3-axis or 5-axis machining centres for precision components in the aerospace sector. The role requires time-served setters/operators with certificates and the ability to read engineering drawings, interpret instructions and maintain tight tolerances.

The salary is generous: £37,599 basic plus 33% shift allowance (£50,006 annually), with shift hours and benefits including a pension and life cover.

Qualifications

• Time-served CNC setter/operator with relevant certificates.
• Experience with 3-axis or 5-axis machining centres.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
• Strong inspection skills, attention to detail and computer literacy.
• Aerospace experience desirable.

An international aerospace manufacturer is recruiting two experienced CNC Millers with 3-axis or 5-axis machining experience, ideally using Mazak or Doosan equipment.

Duties

• Set and operate milling machines to manufacture precision components from engineering drawings.
• Maintain tight tolerances and inspect finished parts using measuring equipment.
• Follow quality procedures and relevant ISO standards.
• Maintain machinery, uphold safety standards and minimise production waste.
• Support continuous improvement, energy efficiency and sustainability.

Requirements

• Time-served CNC setter/operator with relevant certificates.
• Experience with 3-axis or 5-axis machining centres.
