Job summary

Prime Appointments is recruiting two CNC Millers to join an international aerospace components manufacturer in Basildon, working on night shift. You will operate Mazak or Doosan CNC mills to produce precision components from drawings.

The role requires 3- or 5-axis experience, careful interpretation of drawings, and the use of precision measuring equipment. ISO standards compliance and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential.

Qualifications

• Fully skilled time served CNC setter/operator (certificates required).
• Must have experience of 3 or 5 Axis machines.
• Able to interpret engineering drawings and follow written instructions.
• Aerospace experience preferable.
• Able to use a wide variety of measuring equipment.
• Must have good attention to detail and coordinate skills.
• Must be able to work on own initiative and in a team.

Job Title CNC Miller

Town Basildon

Salary £37,599 + 33% shift allowance (£50,006pa)

We are looking to recruit two a CNC Millers to work night shift with either 3 Axis or 5 Axis experience to work for an international manufacturing company supplying components to the aerospace industry. You will produce precision components using Mazak or Doosan machines.

Duties

• Produce precision components from drawings using CNC machines
• Produce accurate, high-quality components with maximum efficiency
• Set and operate CNC milling machines
• Work to tight tolerances and check your own work meets the required standard
• Work on your own initiative and understand all aspects of the manufacturing process
• Quality check all finished jobs
• Clean and maintain CNC machine and all associated equipment and machine area.
• Working to ISO 50001/14001/45001/9001 standards
• Commitment to continual improvement in manufacturing, quality, health, safety environmental, energy and sustainability management
• As part of your role you will be asked to support the Energy team and consider energy reduction and savings within the scope of your role leading to continuous improvement.

Benefits

• £18.54ph = £37,599pa + 33% shift allowance
• Monday to Thursday 7:30pm to 16:30am, Friday 2:30pm to 7.30pm
