Job summary

Nicholas Associates in South Yorkshire is seeking an experienced Team Leader to manage a high-volume production area, leading a multi-skilled team and ensuring production, quality and safety targets are met.

You will oversee CNC machinery and automated equipment, drive productivity, and support continuous improvement while coordinating with planning to meet customer requirements. 40 hours/week, permanent role with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a multi-skilled production team.
• Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Knowledge of CNC machinery and/or automated production equipment.
• Strong understanding of production targets, KPIs and performance management.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S principles.

Responsibilities

• Organise and control production staff to meet targets and output requirements.
• Lead daily shift start-up meetings and communicate production priorities.
• Support and develop a flexible, multi-skilled workforce.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures (COSHH) and quality standards.
• Monitor KPIs, productivity, quality and production records.
• Provide hands-on support to minimise stoppages and maintain flow.
