Job summary

Nicholas Associates is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead an Aerospace department and drive continuous improvement in a high-precision environment near Redditch.

You will manage a team of Manufacturing Engineers and operators, ensuring EHS, quality, cost and delivery targets are met, while fostering a safe and collaborative shop floor culture.

The role offers up to £62,000 DOE and a Monday-Thursday 07:30-16:30, Friday 07:30-12:30 schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Manufacturing Manager or similar leadership role in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and develop talent.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targets across EHS, Quality, Cost and Delivery (QCD).
• Maintain a visible shop-floor presence to drive issue resolution.
• Lead daily operational routines and meetings for manufacturing and engineering.
• Champion health, safety and environmental culture and risk assessments.
• Provide practical technical solutions to improve performance and safety.
• Identify constraints and drive productivity, flow and waste reduction.
• Lead continuous improvement and structured problem-solving across the value stream.
• Coach and develop Manufacturing Engineers and SMEs.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration and achievement of KPIs.
• Foster operational excellence and employee engagement.
