Job summary

Mansell Recruitment Group is helping a Dorset precision engineering facility source skilled CNC Machinists to programme, set and operate a range of CNC machining centres. We are seeking Fully Skilled CNC Millers (preferably with Heidenhain experience) and Fully Skilled CNC Turners (preferably with Fanuc experience) to programme, set and operate the machines.

Job description

Due to an increased long-term order book my client are seeking Skilled CNC Machinists to join the team at their Dorset facility.

They are looking for Fully Skilled CNC Millers (preferably with Heidenhain or Fanuc experience) and Fully Skilled CNC Turners (preferably with Fanuc experience) to programme, set, and operate a range of CNC machining centres.

Key Responsibilities:

• Programming, setting, and operating CNC machines to produce precision components
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
• Ensuring parts meet required tolerances and quality standards
• Performing routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of machinery
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Working collaboratively with Quality and Production teams to meet deadlines and targets

Ideal Candidate:

• Fully skilled CNC Milling or Turning experience
• Programming, setting, and operating capabilities
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated with a professional work ethic
• Experience with Heidenhain (Milling) or Fanuc (Turning/Milling) control systems
• Background in low to medium batch production
• Previous experience in the Aerospace, Defence, or Medical sectors

Minimum of 39 hours per week

Core working hours are 8 am to 4 pm Monday to Thursday and 8 am to 1 pm Friday
