Edge Recruits is seeking a skilled CNC Machine Setter in Plymouth to join a precision manufacturing team. You will set and operate CNC machinery, perform quality checks, and ensure tooling is correctly fitted to meet production targets and quality standards.

The role requires 2–3 years’ CNC experience, manufacturing sector know-how, and flexibility for rotating shifts or permanent night shifts. A strong focus on accuracy, safety, and continuous improvement is essential.

Location: Plymouth
Salary: £33,487.74 per annum (including 20% shift premium) or £39,069.03 per annum (including 40% night shift premium)
Shifts:
, Rotating weekly shifts, 06:00 - 14:00 and 14:00 - 22:00
, Permanent Night Shift, 22:00 - 06:00

Working within a structured production environment, you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC machinery, carrying out quality checks, and ensuring machinery performs efficiently to support production targets and high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC machinery to required specifications.
• Perform gauge checks and quality inspections throughout production.

About You

Essential:

• Minimum 2 to 3 years' experience setting and operating CNC machinery.
• Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work rotating shifts or a permanent night shift pattern.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety.

Desirable:

• Experience carrying out machine performance and quality checks.
• Knowledge of precision engineering or CNC manufacturing processes.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development.
