Job summary

Mego Employment Ltd is recruiting for a CNC Machine Setter in Plymouth to join a well-established precision manufacturing business. You will set and operate CNC machinery, carry out quality checks, and work to ensure machinery performs efficiently to meet production targets and quality standards.

We offer rotating shifts (06:00–14:00, 14:00–22:00) with a rotating pattern or a permanent night shift (22:00–06:00).

Qualifications

• 2–3 years' experience setting and operating CNC machinery.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Ability to work rotating shifts or permanent night shift.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC machinery to required specifications.
• Perform gauge checks and quality inspections throughout production.
• Identify and report defects or machine issues promptly.
• Ensure correct tooling is fitted and maintained for production runs.
• Complete machine performance checklists and follow safety procedures.

Salary: £33,487.74 per annum (including 20% shift premium) or £39,069.03 per annum (including 40% night shift premium)
Shifts:

Key Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC machinery to required specifications.
• Perform gauge checks and quality inspections throughout production.
• Identify and report defects or machine issues promptly.

About You

Essential:

• Minimum 2 to 3 years' experience setting and operating CNC machinery.
• Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work rotating shifts or a permanent night shift pattern.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety.

Desirable:

• Experience carrying out machine performance and quality checks.
• Knowledge of precision engineering or CNC manufacturing processes.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development.
