Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is helping a Northwich precision contractor recruit a CNC Machinist. You will set up and operate CNC mills or lathes from engineering drawings, select tooling, monitor processes and inspect parts to meet quality standards.

Hours are Monday–Thursday 8:00am–5:00pm and Friday 8:00am–1:00pm, with overtime paid at enhanced rates. The role offers ongoing overtime, training opportunities and progression within an established workshop.

Qualifications

• Setting and operating CNC mills or lathes to engineering drawings.
• Experience with selecting tooling and inspecting finished components.
• Willingness to work overtime and join a friendly local workshop.

Responsibilities

Are you a CNC Setter/Operator In either lathes or mills looking for a role with a precision contractor offering a great work-life balance with 1pm finish on Fridays and plenty of overtime time paid at 1.3x for the first 4 hours and 1.5x thereon after?

Established in 1974, this independent precision engineering specialist manufactures high-quality components for a diverse range of industries, including aerospace, robotics and pharmaceutical. Due to an ever-increasing workload, they are looking to grow their friendly team.

In this role you, will be responsible for setting and operating mills or lathes depending on your experience. You will work from engineering drawings, select appropriate tooling, monitor machining processes, and carry out quality inspections to ensure components meet industry standards.

This role will suit a CNC machinist who is looking to join an established, local workshop, work on varied projects and have the option to increase your earnings through overtime.

The Role:

• Setting and Operating CNC mills or lathes
• Working Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 5:00pm (Friday 8:00am – 1:00pm)
• Plenty of overtime paid at 1.3x for the first 4 hours and 1.5x afterwards.
