The Landing Gear Market specializes in the design, qualification, manufacture, repair, and overhaul of landing gears and flight-critical components for a customer base that extends from OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to operators in both commercial and military markets.

Summary of position:

The role involves setting and operating a range of CNC controlled machinery according to specifications.

Salary: Starting rate from [specified range] as per experience + shift premium of [percentage]% for 3-shift availability + overtime paid at [rate] or x2 depending on availability.

CNC Machinist potential up to £[amount]/hour following training and experience.

Schedules & Access:

• Night shift: Sunday to Friday
• Morning shift: Monday to Friday
• Afternoon shift: Monday to Friday

*Easy access via A- & M-1 and a nearby railway station.*

Location: Urban Road, Kirkby in Ashfield, Nottingham, United Kingdom, NGAP

Main responsibilities:

• Setting and operating CNC machines including DMG DMC U, WFL, MAZAK E, MAZAK Integrex i-, CINCINNATI FTV5, UNION TC, TOS VARNSDORF WHNMC, MCM tank 0 MP (pallets)
• Producing precision machined components and tooling
• Quality checks throughout production
• Accurate recording of quantities and time using company systems
• Regular maintenance of machines as scheduled

Qualifications:

• Experience with setting and operating CNC 3/4/5 axis milling machines, working with aluminium, steel, and titanium to tight tolerances.
• Understanding of Fanuc, Heidenhain, Mazatrol, or Siemens control systems; willingness to develop further skills.
• Perform additional duties as requested by management.
