Job description

CNC Machinists – Millers and Turners

•Up to £19.66 per hour

•Daytime Hours – 37 hours

•33 days holiday + Exc Benefits

Our client based in Nelson is an established company with an excellent reputation in the local industry. They have enjoyed a steady growth in clientele and have established a strong order book with a promising future. Due to continued growth, we are looking for Skilled and Semi-Skilled Machinists

Key Duties Include:

•Competent in setting a variety of milling and / or lathe machines

•Self-inspect tools to drawings prior to final inspection

•De-burr tools to remove sharp edges

•Recording of work information/data to help monitor costing and efficiency

•Multi-man between machines

•Ensure traceability is always maintained on the appropriate Tools, Materials & Paperwork

•Complete first line maintenance on machine i.e., remove swarf, check safety features, keep oil and coolant topped up

To be considered for this position the successful candidate must have;

•Engineering Qualifications to support experience

•General engineering experience with regards to Turning, Milling and Grinding

•Collaborate with other team members to optimise production processes

•A logical approach to problem solving / troubleshooting

•Experience of Fanuc & Heidenhain controls
