About the role

Our client, a precision engineering company, seeks to appoint an experienced CNC Machinist to programme set and operate a number of machines in their Rochdale factory!

The appointed individual will have experience in programming 3 and 4-axis Fanuc-controlled turning machines. This is a CNC Turning role but they will happily train a miller with good Fanuc skills!

The business operates a rotating two-week shift pattern of earlies and lates with an early finish on Fridays (38.2 hours). NO NIGHTS!

Your Role and Responsibilities:
– Programming, setting and operating precision engineering machinery
– Programming, setting and operating with Fanuc
– Overcome any tooling and set-up problems encountered when machining component
– Adhere to Machine / Department 5S and support Quality / Business Improvement initiatives

Your Skills and Abilities:
– Formal qualification in machining, with CNC bias, ideally apprentice trained
– Ability to program preferred, with experience of Fanuc / G code
– Confident with a positive and friendly attitude
– Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
