Dovetail And Slate Limited is seeking a CNC/Machinist Lecturer to design, plan, deliver and assess machining and CNC programmes, combining practical workshop teaching with essential theory for learners at various levels.

You will bring industry experience into the classroom, help shape the curriculum, and support learners to achieve progress. A passion for education and the ability to adapt to diverse cohorts are key.

Qualifications

• Substantial practical experience in CNC, machining or precision engineering.
• The ability to teach and demonstrate practical skills clearly to learners.
• A commitment to helping learners achieve and progress.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Relevant Level 3 Qualification.

Responsibilities

• Designing, planning, delivering and assessing machining and CNC programmes across a range of levels.
• Delivering a mix of practical workshop teaching and underpinning theory.
• Bringing current industry practice and standards into your teaching.
• Assessing learner work fairly and giving clear, constructive feedback.
• Creating a safe, positive and supportive workshop environment.
• Monitoring learner progress and adapting your teaching to meet individual needs.
• Working with colleagues to develop and keep the curriculum relevant.
