ESS Employment Ltd is recruiting for a CNC Lathe Turner Setter and Operator based in Stroud. The role involves using Fanuk, Siemens or Mazatrol controls to produce Aerospace quality machined components, with focus on intricate setups and precision tolerances.

Hours are 07:30–16:30 Mon-Thu and 07:30–12:30 Fri; a late shift 14:00–23:00 Mon-Thu offers a 30% uplift. ASAP start for experienced setters/operators, with permanent employment on offer.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as CNC Setter/Operator/Miller/Turner/Lathe.
• Ability to set intricate parts for milling.
• Flexible and accurate with fine tolerances.
• Experience with Fanuc, Siemens or Mazatrol controls is essential.
• Experience of precision components is highly desirable.
• Operate CNC machinery producing aerospace quality machined components.
• Select tooling and edit machining programs.
• Ensure compliance with internal processes and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills to produce aerospace components.
• Select appropriate tooling and modify programs for accuracy.
• Monitor tolerances and QA checks during production.
• Maintain safe, clean working environment and comply with policies.
