CNC Machinist | Boroughbridge, York | Full Time | 40 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8:00 – 17:00, with an early finish on Friday, 8:00 – 14:30 | Starting from £28,000 to £32,500 per annum DOE

Our client is looking for a highly skilled CNC Machinist to programme, set and run their 4-axis Homag and 5-axis Morbidelli CNC machines. You will be an integral part of the Production process that works with solid grade laminates, MDF, MFC & solid surface material.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating CNC machinery with a keen eye for detail as well as the ability to problem solve and adjust programmes where necessary.

• Proficient in operating a CNC router in the wood panel industry
• Ability to program would be a bonus – Woodwop and Xilog
• An eye for detail with a high level of accuracy
• Able to work under pressure
• Team player with a positive and friendly attitude and strong communication skills
• Experience with materials handling, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of products

What will your role look like?

• To oversee the full operation of CNC machines
• Ensure all panels produced meet the company quality standards
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machinery and production process
• Ability to work on own with minimal supervision
• Work with the Production Team to complete the production process in an efficient and timely manner
• Maintain a well-organised workspace
• Train and assist other team members to be able to operate the CNC machinery
• Follow company Health & Safety procedures
