Job Summary

The Machinist is responsible for executing assigned tasks in accordance with Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. They will be trained to achieve 'Certified' status through a rigorous Job Instruction process and attain relevant certification as per site standards. Support will be provided by the Team Leader for training, coaching, and addressing quality issues.

The role involves actively identifying safety concerns, raising issues promptly, and suggesting improvements through Kaizen initiatives. The team collaborates to foster a 'Great Place To Work' culture emphasizing continuous improvement, safety, and open communication.

Job Responsibilities
  • Load, operate, and maintain CNC mills and other machining equipment.
  • Interpret and execute machining instructions, drawings, and specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines.
  • Report production status, issues, and concerns to relevant personnel.
  • Achieve precise tolerances and surface finishes on various parts.
  • Measure and inspect parts to ensure quality compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures.
  • Work independently and within a team.
  • Assist in process improvement initiatives.
Job Qualifications
  • SPM, Diploma, Professional Certificate, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a CNC Machinist.
  • Experience in Aerospace or MRO industries.
  • Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Understanding of CNC programming, G-code, and machine control.
  • Knowledge of machining principles, tooling, and cutting techniques.
  • Familiarity with milling machines and grinders.
  • Strong understanding of material properties and machining capabilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and equipment.
