About the Role

Join our team in Tuboscope as an CNC Machinist. You will strive to produce world-class quality, precision-machined drill pipe, collars, and drill string subs. You will adopt a customer service mindset, supporting both internal and external customers with a focus on efficient workspace and connection production management. Responsible for your own productivity output, you will apply advanced manufacturing processes and CNC turning disciplines. Key Responsibilities

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC machines to produce parts as per specifications and drawings.
  • Machine Grant Prideco, Tenaris DSTJ, and API rotary shouldered connections to precise tolerances.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Perform regular machine maintenance checks and ensure all equipment is in good working order.
  • Monitor the machining process and make adjustments as necessary to maintain product quality.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of machining activities, including setup sheets, inspection reports, and maintenance logs.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve production targets and deadlines.
  • Minimize waste by using and disposing of raw materials and consumable items efficiently.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies regarding health and safety, quality, and housekeeping.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the Machine Shop Manager immediately.
  • Carry out all duties safely in accordance with the Health and Safety Policy, Employee Handbook, procedures, training, and instructions.

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent (essential).
  • Technical certification or diploma in CNC machining or a related field (desirable).
  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist (essential).
  • Experience in machining Grant Prideco, Tenaris DSTJ, and API rotary shouldered connections (desirable).
  • Experience in an oil industry environment (desirable).
