Job summary

Optima UK Inc Ltd is seeking a CNC Machine Operator for the weekend night shift in Leicester. The role involves loading/unloading CNC machines, operating milling or turning machines, and performing quality checks on finished parts during a permanent night shift (Fri–Sun, 6pm–6am).

We require prior CNC milling/turning experience and proficiency with inspection tools; the candidate should work independently or in a team, with a strong work ethic and reliability.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a CNC Miller or CNC Turner.
• Confident using inspection equipment and carrying out quality checks.
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, enthusiastic, and committed, with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading CNC machines
• Operating CNC milling or CNC turning machines
• Carrying out quality inspections using measuring equipment such as verniers, calipers, and micrometres
• Using a handheld grinder to remove burrs and rough edges from metal components
• Pressure testing finished parts
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area
