Job summary

Greene Tweed is seeking a CNC lathe operator who will set, operate and program CNC lathes, ensuring parts are machined to drawing tolerances and quality standards. You will conduct in-process inspection, document measurements, and collaborate with production teams to resolve issues and drive improvements.

Responsibilities include tool offsets, adherence to safety and AS9100 standards, and contributing to lean initiatives.

Qualifications

Experience of setting, operating and programming within a Manufacturing environment.
Ability to use measuring equipment and interpret drawings.
Working knowledge of CNC machines to understand how to alter tooling offsets on the machines.
Ability to use required gauges or instruments.
Working knowledge of mathematics in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

Review drawings, sketches and specs to determine machining requirements and meet customer requirements.
Set and operate CNC lathes and program machines when required.
Inspect parts and record measurements with various devices, including CMMs and gauges.
Inform the Cell Lead or Production Supervisor of any machinery or material problems.
Maintain a clean, safe workstation and comply with AS9100 and safety regulations.
Participate in Lean Six Sigma and contribute to process improvements.
