Job summary

Greene, Tweed & Co Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a CNC Technician I to set up and operate CNC lathes, with capability to program within two programming groups when needed. The role requires reading drawings, using measuring devices, and ensuring parts meet tolerances per AS9100 standards.

The candidate will perform in-process inspections, deburr parts, maintain records, and support Lean Six Sigma initiatives while working with a Self Directed Team in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience setting, operating and programming CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to use measuring equipment and interpret drawings.
• Familiarity with tooling offsets and basic CNC concepts (DNC/PC controlled where applicable).
• Strong maths skills for manufacturing tolerances and KC interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes to required performance per policies and procedures.
• Program machines within defined programming groups when required.
• Conduct in-process inspection using KC measurements and various gauges.
• Deburr parts and maintain records of time, counts and inspections.
• Inform leads or supervisors about machinery or material issues.
• Contribute to Lean Six Sigma initiatives and cross-train in team.
