Job Description:

Our client, based in the Netherton area, is currently recruiting for a CNC Lathe Setter/Operator/Programmer to join their growing team.

Responsibilities and requirements include:

• Study engineering drawings and job orders for specifications and operational sequences.
• Plan machining activities and program settings into machines, considering work orders and engineering drawings.
• Work with geometric dimensions and tolerances to plan machining activities.
• Enter programs into mills and lathes (Note: No offline programming available).
• Safely load and unload materials.
• Set gauges and measuring instruments to meet machine tolerance environments.
• Perform preventative and regular maintenance on machines, equipment, and tools.
• Follow the machining process from start to finish to ensure quality.
• Troubleshoot machining issues to ensure process efficacy.
• Shape, sharpen, and adjust machining tools to achieve required tolerances.
• Provide tooling and fixturing improvement solutions as needed.
• Complete all reports and paperwork related to machining projects.

Hours of work:

• 8:30am – 4:30pm, Monday to Thursday
• 8:30am – 1:30pm, Friday

Pay Rate:

This is a long-term role with the potential for permanent employment after 12 weeks.
