We are seeking ambitious, proactive, and forward-thinking Paramedics, Nurses (Adult & Paediatric) to join our Clinical Assessment Service (CAS). In today's dynamic healthcare landscape, flexibility is key. We are excited to offer agile working options, allowing you to balance your personal and professional life effectively.

As an Agile Clinical Advisor (Validator), you will be a vital part of our team supporting our Emergency Operations Centres (EOCs). The role intercepts lower acuity and appropriate 999 calls to provide advice and arrange for appropriate care pathways. Our aim is to reduce ambulance demand and Emergency Department admissions safely. You will be an integral part of our team in developing a multi-disciplinary approach to 999 services.

We will offer a variety of contract types including full or part-time positions and remote working





Main Responsibilities:
• Clinical accountability for patients calling 999.
• Work as an autonomous practitioner to provide high quality complex clinical triage.
• Provide appropriate emergency response or referral to an alternative care pathway safely using knowledge, skills, critical thinking, and professional judgement supported by clinical assessment software.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to reduce ambulance demand and A&E admissions.
• Maintain high standards of clinical triage.
• Collaborate with external agencies to achieve successful outcomes.

Essential Criteria:
• 2 years post-registration experience in a clinical environment
• Experience in A&E, Medical, or Primary Care settings
• Demonstrable experience in telephone triage
• Previous experience in making autonomous clinical decisions.
• Able to deal effectively with highly distressed callers
• High level of IT and telephony proficiency
• Ability to utilise critical analysis skills demonstrating knowledge of differential diagnosis during assessment.
• Demonstrable commitment to continual professional development
• Recognise the importance of audit, evaluation, and Clinical Governance
