Job summary

NEOS Engineering Recruitment is seeking an experienced CNC Laser Operator for a busy manufacturing facility near Portrush. You will set up and run CNC laser-cutters to produce accurate metal components.

You will read drawings, select parameters, monitor quality, maintain machines and help minimise waste. Training and progression opportunities are available in a modern facility.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC laser-operating experience.
• Experience reading engineering drawings.
• Ability to use measuring equipment to verify parts.
• Strong focus on quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Process sheet metal and steel components.
• Check parts against drawings and specifications.
• Monitor cutting quality and adjust settings as needed.

NEOS Engineering Recruitment are looking for an experienced CNC Laser Operator to join a busy and rapidly expanding manufacturing facility based near Portrush.

The successful candidate will set and operate CNC laser-cutting machinery, producing accurate components for fabrication and assembly.

The Role

• Set and operate CNC laser-cutting machines.
• Load programs and select appropriate machine parameters.
• Process sheet metal and steel components.
• Check completed parts against drawings and specifications.
• Monitor cutting quality and make adjustments.
• Load and unload materials.
• Carry out basic maintenance and cleaning.
• Record production output and material usage.
• Minimise waste and maximise productivity.

The Candidate

• Previous CNC laser-operating experience.
• Experience with Trumpf, Bystronic, Amada or similar machinery is advantageous.
• Able to read engineering drawings.
• Confident using measuring equipment.
• Good understanding of sheet metal and steel grades.
• CNC programming or nesting experience is beneficial.
• Strong attention to quality and safety.
