Dellner Woodville Ltd in Littlehampton seeks a Production Associate (Turning & Grinding) for the PM shift. You will operate CNC machines, grinders and stress-relief equipment to meet quality specs and production targets.

Key tasks include setting up machines, inspecting components with verniers/micrometers, and recording process data. You’ll work safely, follow drawings, and contribute to continuous improvement in a busy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment (Essential).
Ability to follow engineering drawings, work instructions and quality requirements (Essential).
Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers and micrometers (Essential).
Good attention to detail and commitment to quality (Essential).
Understanding of safe machinery operation (Essential).
CNC, centreless grinding or metal stress-relieving experience (Desirable).

Responsabilités

Operate CNC machines, centreless grinders and metal stress-relieving equipment in accordance with approved work instructions and procedures.
Set up machinery and make adjustments where trained and authorised.
Inspect components using measuring equipment to ensure they meet dimensions and quality standards.
Follow stress-relieving process parameters and complete required records.
Monitor machine performance and report faults or delays to Team Leader.
Maintain production records and traceability.
Follow health and safety procedures and wear PPE.
Maintain 5S standards and housekeeping.
Minimise scrap and downtime while meeting output targets.
Work flexibly across production and support continuous improvement.
