Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting an experienced CNC Grinder Operator to join our Bridgwater manufacturing team. You will set up and operate CNC grinding machines, read engineering drawings, and inspect components to tight tolerances using micrometers and verniers.

The role offers a competitive hourly rate (£17.56) and annual pay (£33,785.44) with shifts and overtime potentially required. Candidates should have proven CNC grinding experience and a good eye for detail.

Qualifications

• Able to read engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Experience reading micrometers and verniers for inspection.
• Strong understanding of tolerances and quality standards.
• Prior CNC grinding experience is essential.
• Engineering qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC grinding machines.
• Read engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Use precision measuring equipment to verify parts.
• Make machine offset and tooling adjustments.
• Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections.
• Identify machine, tooling and quality issues.
• Complete production records and follow Health & Safety procedures.
• Support continuous improvement and maintain a safe workspace.
